Brave Rewards country does not match custodial account country error Follow
When connecting a custodial account (e.g., Uphold, Gemini, bitFlyer, ZebPay account) to your Brave Rewards profile, your custodial account's country should match your Brave Rewards country. For example, if your Brave Rewards country is set to the United States (US) but the custodial account you're using is registered in Brazil (BR), you might not be able to connect your custodial account, and might see the following error message:
Custodial account country
In general, your custodial account country is determined by the ID documents you used during ID verification when signing up with your custodian of choice. For example:
- If you used a driver's license or passport from the United States when registering with Uphold, then your custodial account country will be "United States" (US).
- If you used a driver's license or passport from Canada, then your custodial account's country will be Canada (CA).
See our Privacy Policy.

The country you select will determine your Brave Rewards country. You can also check your Brave Rewards country by going to brave://rewards-internals and looking at the country code where it says "Rewards country: XX".
How do I change my Brave Rewards country?
Currently, the Brave Rewards country you set is permanent. In order to change your Brave Rewards country, you can reset your Brave Rewards profile, then select a different country on your new Rewards profile.
