How do I connect my Creators account with a custodian? Follow
You can connect your Brave Creators account with a self-custody wallet and/or a custodial account. Instructions for connecting a Web3 address can be found here.
A custodial account is an account with a company or third-party (custodian) that holds your BAT for you. This includes crypto exchanges like Uphold. This list of supported regions for custodial accounts can be found here.
Verifying your custodial account means performing ID-verification (or "KYC") for your account. Please note, the verification process is independent of Brave and handled by the custodian.
To connect your custodian account
Visit your Brave Creators dashboard and Select your region.
Once your region is selected you will be presented with the option to connect an available custodian.
The custodian verification may not process immediately. Please reach out to Uphold Support for any issues with your Uphold account. If you do not see an available custodian please check your region. This list of supported regions for custodial accounts can be found here.
Monthly recurring contributions are only available for custodian-connected accounts. You can learn more here.
