Brave has a fast iterative development cycle that goes through a lot of quality assurance checks and balances. To aid in the process of making sure we release a stable product to the public, each new feature goes through a series of channel builds for rigorous testing.
This is our official release version of Brave and the version most Brave users enjoy. It is in continuous development with new releases landing approximately every two weeks. Brave is open source and always available to review on Github.
Brave Beta is an early preview for new versions of Brave. This build showcases the newest advances that we’re bringing to your browser, and it’s ready for your daily use and feedback on remaining issues that we want to fix.
Dev is our unpolished and unfinished early preview for new versions of Brave. These releases show our work in progress and they aren’t for the faint-of-heart. Try it out only if you’re looking for a little extra spice and adventure in your browsing.
