If you see a message saying "Extensions Disabled," it's because Brave has turned off one or more of your extensions to keep your data safe while you're browsing the Internet.

The extensions that Brave turned off either didn't come from the Chrome or were determined unsafe.

See a list of your extensions

1. At the top right, click the Menu  icon. 
2. Choose More tools → Extensions.

Extensions that have not been published on the Chrome Web Store are grayed out and you won't be able to turn them back on.

Use disabled extensions

If you need to use a disabled extension, you can contact the extension’s developer and ask them to upload their extension again. 

Extensions not supported by Chrome Web Store

You can install signed extensions that are not supported by the Chrome web store by following the same steps outlined to in this documentation on how to install external extensions. Linux users can install an unsigned extension by simply enabling Developer mode on the Brave://extensions page, and dragging the `.crx` file onto the page directly.

Note that users will need to provide the Brave version of any paths given in the above linked documentation. For example, ~/Google/Chrome would instead be ~/BraveSoftware/Brave.
