How do I import or export data in Brave [Android]? Follow
Outside of using Brave Sync, the Android version of Brave browser has limited import/export functionality. At this time, these actions are limited to importing and/or exporting bookmarks saved in the browser, or exporting (only) saved password data from the browser. For users wanting to move more types of data to from their mobile devices, please consider using Brave Sync instead.
How to Import or Export bookmarks
To export bookmarks from Brave on Android:
- Launch Brave and tap
Main menu --> Bookmarks
- Tap the overflow menu (three dots icon) on the top right:
- Select
Export Bookmarks

Your bookmarks will be exported as an HTML file on your device. Use the device file explorer to move the file to the desired location.
To import a bookmarks .html file into Brave on Android:
- Launch Brave and tap
Main menu --> Bookmarks
- Tap the overflow menu (three dots icon) on the top right
- Select Import bookmarks:
Find the bookmarks .html
file on your device you would like to import. Note that you can import any bookmarks .html
file into Brave -- it does not have to be an .html file exported from Brave specifically, which allows you to export bookmarks from other browsers and import them into Brave.
How to export passwords in Brave on Android
To export password data from Brave on Android:
- Launch Brave and tap
Main menu --> Brave Password Manager
- Tap the overflow menu (three dots icon) on the top right:
- Select
Export passwords...
:
This will export your saved passwords to your device as a .csv
file.
